Two examples of community groups feeding and being fed by the Daybreaker Rally are the Colyton School and Feilding’s Manchester Street School.
As the rally winds its way through the Manawatū, you’ll find the wonderful folks from Colyton School at McBeth Rd spectator point (SS7/9), keeping the energy high with a sausage and drink station. Think of it as a pit stop, but instead of fuelling the cars, they’re fuelling fans.
Every sizzle on the grill represents funds that will go toward school projects, helping the kids thrive in their learning and play.
Over in Feilding, Manchester Street School is pulling double duty! Not only are they keeping the rally running smoothly by providing a marshalling crew, but they’re also grilling up some serious goodness at the Meet the Drivers event on Saturday. Join them from 10:30am at the Repco carpark on Kimbolton Road. It’s your chance to chat with your rally heroes AND enjoy a hot-off-the-grill sausage, all while helping the school raise funds for their projects.
Keep a few coins in your pocket and grab a bite. And while you’re at it, grab one for a mate! You’ll be feeding your rally spirit while helping our local schools thrive—a true win-win for everyone.
